Is it better to be a NCO or a Officer?

the difference between NCO's and officers are what would you prefer to do: Work with soldiers, or work with logistics/daily operations. My husband is an officer and we think he should be an NCO, he only had 3 months as a PL and then has been XO and Battle Captain for the past 3 years.
