I just got my tragus pierced, and it hurts like hell.?

Okay, i got my tragus pierced about a week or so ago, and i got a barbell, not a hoop. and my ear prt where i got it pierced is swollen to the size of the bar, which is big. Its very red, and it also hurts. I try andclean it with a q-tip but it hurts to bad.. and i get alot of yellow stuff. What should do? i clean it with salt water every day and lately ive been putting cream on it. Like, te stuff yu put on cuts... but it doest seem to be helping.
