What does it mean if a guy isnt affectionate?

there is thiss guy i hung out with and we hardly tongue kiss,mostly lips to lips more than a peck obviously. well when we are intimate he doesnt like kissing alot and he is not affectionate, is this a bad thing? when we finish its always all smiles and like WOW or DAMN, this just leaves me all confused. THe next day we saw each other and he was smiling and so was i and he kept looking at me like starring. please give some advice.
