McCain too OLD? For what?

Why do people think McCain is too old? Yes, maybe he isn't going to be training for the 2008 olympics, but as long as he has full mental capacity, (which I believe he does) the only physical aspect he really needs is enough arm movement to sign his name. And maybe a handshake or two here and there.
