HELP! static noise coming from lap top speakers?

my laptop (dell) is 3 months old and today i went to play a youtube video of a song my adobe flash play crashed.. shortly after..something popped up dealing with my ear phones (i have no idea what i pressed if anything) a light static/crackle noise could be heard.. unplugged my ear phones and the crackling noise came from my speakers(internal)
