Do Americans see countries that do the right thing as weak?

No not at all, but I have to ask: What is the right thing? How do you qualify what that is? Americans generally believe that freedom and liberty is the right thing. As such they are willing to fight for others in their struggle to be free. That does not mean others who don't are weak. It just means that our own freedom is important to us, and we are willing to put ourselves in harms way to help others who want the same. Just like some people would not want to join the military or the police department, because they don't want to put themselves in harms way, that doesn't mean they are weak, the people who do join, just see it as a cause that is worth putting themselves at risk. That is why sometimes the US acts unilaterally, because we do believe in the principal and are willing to fight for it, whether others are willing to or not.
